    President’s Forum

      We have been at this for a little over six months now.  Where do we stand?  We have doubled the treasury, membership has increased, community partners up to 18 from one.  A successful golf tournament raising $1,900 for Keesler AFB families.

      We still have big challenges, like the USA Today Visions program implementation for second semester.  Another golf tournament is in the works for Spring for the scholarship fund.  Our meeting with the Daedalians on the 13th we will celebrate AF heritage and leadership.  Our guest speaker, Lt Gen John B, Sams, USAF (retired) will speak of leadership and the importance of professional military associations. 

      The Benjamin Foulois First Flight Award was awarded to us in Amarillo on the 9th of October.  It is an individual award, but it really is the work of our team.  Jim Winters, Pat Watson, Bob Bishop, Scott Schaeffer, Eric Maye, Lonnie Ricks and all our Community Partners and the support of Colonel Wolters and team XL put us on this path to success.
